Aiken Regional Associates Rally to Raise Money for United Way of Aiken County
Associates of Aiken Regional Medical Centers successfully raised $27,360 to add to the United Way of Aiken County’s 2019-2020 fundraising campaign. Over the course of a month, associates exceeded their 2018-2019 fundraising efforts by $7,867.
“We are so grateful to everyone at Aiken Regional for their generosity and amazing support," said Sharon Rodgers, President and CPO at United Way of Aiken County, Inc. "These funds help provide our nonprofit community with the funding it needs to impact the lives of children, seniors, disabled, underemployed and people in crisis in our community. The impact is immense as United Way of Aiken County and our 30 partner agencies help provide over 200,000 services annually through 45 critical need programs in the area of education, financial stability, access to healthcare and assistance in crisis. These programs truly impact REAL PEOPLE and REAL LIVES in Aiken County!”
“I am honored to see our team work together and open their hearts to the patients who come through our doors and the team members they work alongside on a daily basis,” said Jim O’Loughlin, Chief Executive Officer at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. “But nothing is more rewarding than seeing how much our hospital’s associates care for the community in which we live and serve by selflessly giving to those whom we may never meet or come in direct contact with.”
The United Way of Aiken County’s 2019-2020 campaign kicked off Friday, August 30 with a luncheon catered by Aiken Regional. Throughout the year, the hospital also caters United Way’s Monster Mash and professional division fundraiser, and donates through other fundraising efforts that support the organization including School Tools Program and Run United.
