Profits from the Gift Shop provide healthcare scholarships to residents of Aiken, Barnwell and Edgefield Counties who are enrolled as students at the University of South Carolina Aiken or Aiken Technical College. The endowment is funded by way of the hospital Gift Shop, which is staffed by volunteers of the Hospital Auxiliary of Aiken County, Inc.
