Aiken Regional Names New Behavioral Health Chief Executive Officer
Aiken Regional Medical Centers is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Chambers to Chief Executive Officer for Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services, effective May 10, 2021. In his role, Chambers is responsible for providing strategic direction, quality patient care and oversight of Aurora Pavilion’s inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
Chambers comes to Aurora Pavilion from MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, where he served as Executive Director of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services.
"I believe that recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders is possible. I am passionate in the fight to provide compassionate and equitable treatment for patients who are seeking help," said Chambers. "I have spent the past 30 years in behavioral health and I plan on continuing to work on reducing stigma and increasing opportunities for access to care."

Chambers has 30 years of experience in behavioral health in the Chicago area. He earned a Master of Arts in Substance Abuse Counseling from Adler Institute of Chicago and his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Health Sciences from the National College of Education. He is also a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified as both an alcohol and drug counselor and divorce mediator.
